This is my first hair DIY on the site and for good reason – I am lazy about styling my hair!
I did get a new set of curlers recently though so I’m at least attempting to try a few new styles now! I also wanted to share this hairstyle because it is pretty easy and one of my go to styles when I travel or when I just want to tame my sometimes unruly hair. It can also easily be converted into an elegant bun as well.
Here are the steps to create a side French braid:
1. Part hair to desired side.
2. Take three equal strands of hair from the side where the part starts to create a braid. Braid once.
3. Keep braided portion intact and combine each strand with an additional piece on the new side along the direction of your side braid (i.e. strand to the left combines with a new sectioned strand on the left); these two strands combine to create the next part of your braid on each side.
4. Continue repeating step 3 to finish off your braid. You will find there are no more sections of hair along the bottom of your head. Braid normally and combine pieces from the top to finish using all the hair.
